Join us as we celebrate a Ribbon Cutting for Capps Home Building Center! 

Join the Alliance as we celebrate with Capps Home Building Center, a staple of the regional building community since 1978. Capps Home Building Center is proud to announce the official Grand Opening Celebration of its newest retail and contractor hub in Altavista. The event will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 1522 Main Street, Altavista, VA, with the ribbon cutting taking place at 11 AM. 

• Use of our ceremonial ribbon and HUGE scissors, provided by the Alliance - at no charge! (Shovels for groundbreakings available upon request)
• Contact list of Alliance members that provide catering services (upon request)
• Contact list of local media and a sample press release to promote your event
• Alliance staff member and Ambassadors will attend and coordinate the ribbon cutting ceremony
• Great photo opportunity - An Alliance staff member will take photos and post and tag your business on the Alliance's social media (Photos shared upon request)
• Keep and sign your ribbon as a keepsake to display in your location
