On May 29th, Judge Norman Moon will administer the Oath Allegiance to 30 newly naturalized citizens from 20 different countries. The ceremony represents the culmination of a journey for these individuals as they pledge their loyalty and commitment to the United States of America. Our guest speaker will be Robel J. Hailu, Senior VP and Private Client Advisor for Bank of America and Board member of Patrick Henry’s Red Hill.

Held for the 14th consecutive year at Patrick Henry’s Red Hill, the Naturalization Ceremony is a distinctly patriotic event. It serves as a reminder of the varied makeup of our nation’s citizenry which, through natural birth or naturalization, weaves the cultural patchwork that is the United States.

Red Hill, the Patrick Henry National Memorial welcomes the public to attend the ceremony and to join in celebrating this momentous occasion. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Attendance is free.

Prior to the Naturalization Ceremony, everyone is encouraged to tour Patrick Henry’s historic buildings interpreted by docents and demonstrations of 18th Century life.

Following the Naturalization Ceremony, everyone is welcome to enjoy lunch on the grounds, and celebrate Patrick Henry’s 283nd birthday. For more information, call 800-514-7463
