DESCRIPTION:Featuring VA Chamber?s State of the Commonwealth Report & A Regional Economic Update \n\n\n\nThe Region 2000 Economic Business Alliance and the Lynchburg Regional Chamber present the 2015 Economic Summit\, a breakfast dialogue about opportunities in our state and in our region.  The breakfast will feature VA Chamber President Barry DuVal who will present the State of the Commonwealth Report.  There will also be a panel of leaders discussing our region with formal response by business and economic leaders in our area.  Specific data to be reviewed includes:  \n\nCommonwealth of Virginia - Virginia Gross Domestic Product (GDP)\, Virginia GDP by NAICS\, Local Option \n\nSales Tax\, Payroll Employment\, Unemployment Rate\, Labor Force\, Building Permits\n\n \n\nLynchburg Metro Area (Amherst\, Appomattox\, Bedford\, Campbell counties and the Independent City of Lynchburg) - Regional GDP\, Local Option Sales Tax\, House Price Index\, Payroll Employment\, \n\nUnemployment Rate\, Labor Force\, Building Permits \n\n \n\nIn addition\, this year?s report ? \n\n\n	Compares incomes and the cost-of-living in Virginia metropolitan areas to New York City and many Atlantic Coast metropolitan areas\n	Examines the challenges confronting the state's commercial airports\n	Provides evidence concerning which public services provide the best opportunities for consolidation and merger across city and county lines in order to save taxpayer money and improve quality\n	Analyzes the reasons why people move from one metropolitan area to another\n\n\nCost to attend is $25 per person.  Reserved tables of 8 are available for $500.  Reservations are required by December 9 and may be made by calling (434) 845-5966\, emailing info@lynchburgchamber.org or online.\n\n\n\nParking is available in the Speakman Lot.
