DESCRIPTION:Please join with the Chamber and the Lynchburg College School of Business and Economics for an advance look at next year's economy and what national trends will impact us regionally.\n\n\n\nKeynote Speaker\n\nDr. Ray Owens\, Sr. Economist & Research Advisor\n\nResearch Dept.\, Richmond Federal Reserve Bank\n\n\n\nDr. Ray Owens is a senior economist and research advisor in the Research Department and has been with the Richmond Federal Reserve since 1983. Owens has published academic articles in fields as diverse as monetary policy\, financial markets and economic development policy\, but he spends most of his time analyzing national and regional economic conditions. In addition\, he frequently talks to groups on current economic developments and is regularly quoted in the financial press. Owens created the Richmond Fed's monthly surveys of manufacturing and service sector activity.  He has a B.S. and M.A. from Virginia Tech.\n\n\n\nRegional Economic Forecast\n\nDr. Joe Turek\, Dean\n\nLynchburg College School of Business and Economics\n\n\n\nReservations are $20 for Chamber members\, $30 general admission and include buffet breakfast and program.  RSVP is required by October 2.
