SUMMARY:Johnson Health Center 7th Annual Back to School Care Fair
DESCRIPTION:Johnson Health Center will celebrate National Health Center Week in August with our Seventh Annual Back to School Care Fair\, pledged to address the ever-increasing financial burden of school supplies. This is the seventh year this event has been hosted by Johnson Health Center and it has grown steadily over the last six years. To date we have given out over 3000 book bags.\n\n \n\nThis year's event will be held on Saturday\, August 7th from 4pm to 6pm at Lynchburg Women's and Pediatric Health Services\, located at 2402 Atherholt Road\, Lynchburg\, Va.. We will be doing a drive-thru event to distribute back packs and supplies to families\, while they stay safely in their vehicles. We hope that by doing this\, we will still meet the needs of our community and limit any risk or exposure to our staff and those in attendance. Child must be present to receive supplies. While supplies last.\n\n \n\nNational Health Center Week is an annual celebration with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America's health centers over the past 50 years. Community health centers were created to increase access to healthcare in medically underserved areas.\n\n \n\nJohnson Health Center is a non-profit\, independent\, Federally Qualified Health Center serving Lynchburg and the counties of Amherst\, Bedford and Campbell. Our mission is to provide affordable and comprehensive healthcare with quality services and strong community partnerships.\n\n \n\nWe would like to thank Anthem Healthkeepers Plus\, Therapeutic Alliance\, LLC\, United Health Care Community Plan\, Optima Health and Member One Federal Credit Union for their sponsorship of this event.\n\n \n\nThis event will be held outdoors\, rain or shine.
