EDM was started in Lynchburg's business incubator which Georgeann opened and directed until 1995 when EDM graduated and she joined the company.  Georgeann has a BS in psychology from Davidson College and is active in the Lynchburg community\, serving on several boards as well as on the Lynchburg Economic Development Authority and the GO Virginia Region 2 Council.  Georgeann and her husband\, Parks\, have two grown children.
