DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday May 10\, 2016\, Meals on Wheels of Greater Lynchburg will host the 9th annual Take a Swing at Hunger Golf Tournament at the beautiful Boonsboro Country Club.  Meals on Wheels is proud to partner once more with Ford Mays Wealth Management as a Gold Sponsor for this event.\n\n    In 2015\, Meals on Wheels delivered 68\,665 meals in the city of Lynchburg and surrounding counties to 557 of our neighbors in need with no state or federal funding   a 35% increase (18\,430 more meals) over the year before. Most recipients who receive meals are unable to contribute to the cost of their meal.  All meals are delivered by volunteers (over 900) who use their own vehicles and pay for their own fuel.\n\n    This annual golf tournament is the organization's major sell-out fundraising event of the year.
