DESCRIPTION:FIVE18 Presents: Mending Relationships at Home. This is a group for parents and caregivers of children aged 14-17. The class will last for 10 weeks\, meeting weekly on Thursdays from January 23\, 2025\, to March 27\, 2025.\n\nCaring for a child can be both one of the greatest blessings and one of the deepest challenges\, as caregivers navigate the needs of their children along with their own. The purpose of this group is to listen to\, support\, equip\, and encourage caregivers as they address the various needs of their child or children. Participants will receive education on how to connect with\, empower\, and guide their child while also exploring how their own life experiences shape their approach to caregiving.\n\nRegistration for this group will be for all 10 weeks of the group.\n\nWeek 1: Introduction and Setting Expectations\n\nWeek 2: Trust-Based Relational Intervention Concepts\n\nWeek 3: Reviewing History of Meaningful Relationships\n\nWeek 4: Identifying Barriers and Strengths\n\nWeek 5: Education Surrounding Developmental Needs and Strategies for Connecting\n\nWeek 6: Reviewing Application of Connecting and Identifying Empowering and Correcting Principles\n\nWeeks 7\, 8\, and 9: Reviewing Experiences with Implementing Principles and Providing Encouragement\n\nWeek 10: Wrap-Up/Conclusion of Group\n\n \n\nReach out to Dr. Henry Bruns with questions at hbruns@five18.org
