York Street\, Lynchburg\, VA 24501 \n\n \n\nFollowing the ribbon cutting\, we will play! \n\n\n Basketball Exhibition Watch an exciting pickup game featuring former and current Dearington residents\, organized by Jarrod Thomas of the TIST Academy. Want to play?\n\n\n\n Community Cookout Local chef T'Juan Booth from Bootleggers will be at the grill serving up hot dogs and burgers.\n\n\n\n DJ & Family Fun Enjoy music\, play on the new accessible playground\, and check out the outdoor fitness equipment.\n\n\n\n Community Art See the new basketball court mural honoring Dearington's history and future. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJefferson Park's transformation is part of the Dearington Neighborhood Plan\, a vision built with residents to create a welcoming space for all generations. The new playground\, built by Kompan\, was designed with neighborhood children's input and ensures children of all abilities can play side by side.
