DESCRIPTION:Roads to Recovery is hosting our annual event this fall on September 12\, 2019 to celebrate National Recovery Month. Please join us along with hundreds of business\, government and community leaders\, supporters\, and people in recovery as we honor those who have achieved recovery from substance use disorders in our community.\n\n \n\nThis year's keynote speaker is Daniel Carey\, M.D.\,Virginia's Secretary of Health and Human Resources. Dr. Carey worked for over 20 years as a cardiologist in Lynchburg and served as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Centra. In his current role\, Secretary Carey is passionate about expanding access to affordable health care for Virginians\; improving the Commonwealth's behavioral health and developmental services programs\; and making meaningful progress on issues such as substance use and addiction\, women's health\, and children's issues.
