Which princess will win the heart of\n\nPrince Charming? Find out all the answers and more at Charlottesville Ballet's A Fairy Tale Gathering\, an\n\noriginal ballet by Co-Director Emily Hartka (E.C. Glass Class of '05) that brings together famous fairy tale\n\ncharacters.\n\n\n\nA Fairy Tale Gathering is a 45-minute interactive production that was specially designed for young\n\nchildren and families. "The original ballet features famous whimsical characters like Cinderella\, Sleeping\n\nBeauty\, Snow White\, and a family favorite: a singing Mrs. Teapot" says Co-Director Emily Hartka\, who is a\n\ngraduate of E.C. Glass High School and the former Virginia School of the Arts. She created the original\n\nballet in 2009 as part of her thesis work at the University of Virginia. The show premiered in Lynchburg\n\nin Fall 2010 (at the former Dance Theatre of Lynchburg) and the Ballet has toured the production to\n\nnumerous local schools in collaboration with Keith Lee\, who now serves as Director of Diversity &\n\nInclusion and Resident Choreographer.\n\n\n\nPerformances will be held on the historic stage at the Academy Center of the Arts\, where Charlottesville\n\nBallet is Resident Dance Company\, on Saturday\, March 12 with shows at 1:00PM and 4:00PM. After the\n\nperformance is a special VIP "Ever After Party" where families can take to the stage to meet the dancers\,\n\ntake photos with their favorite fairy tale characters\, and enjoy a dance party with the cast! All-inclusive\n\ntickets include complimentary beverages plus the ballet performance and the after party.
