DESCRIPTION:TRADITIONAL FLINTLOCK RIFLE WORKSHOP\nLearn how to build your own custom Flintlock Rifle at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center 1267 4-H Camp Rd. Appomattox\, VA 24522.  Instruction and kits are provided by Rifle Builder Troy Roope of Stonewall Creek Outfitters.  This workshop offers lots of instructor time with a small class size of 6 to 1 student/teacher ratio.  Rifle building experience is not needed to participate in this workshop. Basic\, beginner level flintlock rifle building skills are offered. The Workshop is scheduled March 2-7\, 2014 and has a registration deadline of Nov. 15\, 2013. Cost for instruction\, kits\, meals and lodging is $1685.00. LOCATION:From Lynchburg/Roanoke: Take 460 East to Appomattox\, turn left onto Route 24 East toward Appomattox Courthouse\, drive 7 miles\, turn right onto Route 626\, drive 5 miles and keep left onto Route 723. The Center is at the end of Route 723. From Richmond: Take Route 60 West past Buckingham Courthouse\, turn left onto Route 24\, drive 10 miles\, turn left onto Route 626\, drive 5 miles and keep left onto Route 723. The Center is at the end of Route 723.
