DESCRIPTION:Join us for this luncheon that is also supported by Genworth Virginia 10 Miler where you'll hear from Molly Barker\, who will share her tips and lessons learned on succeeding in business and how to maximize your networking potential all with the goal of mastering critical skills needed to prosper in work and in life!  The luncheon is a great way to kickoff festivities for the Virginia 10 Miler!\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Molly Barker\, Founder\n\nGirls on the Run and Red Boot Coalition\n\n \n\nAbout the Speaker: Molly Barker founded Girls on the Run in 1996 to create a connected and safe "space" that invites girls and women to see and unravel from their unconscious buy-in where cultural and societal stereotypes limit choices.\n\n \n\nMolly engages with humor\, poignant stories\, and rich demonstrations of the power possible when people collectively give voice and action to love\, compassion and curious-inquiry in spite of the perceived chaos\, fear and anger around us. Molly heads up the Red Boot Coalition with dialogue focused on addressing these challenges. \n\n \n\nShe enjoys writing and is the author of two books and has been featured in many media outlets including People\, Runner's World\, Glamour\, Shape\, Redbook and Woman's Day. She was recently selected by Fast Company to the League of Extraordinary Women\, Women Truly Changing the World. President Barack Obama and President George H.W. Bush recognized her in a ceremony as a "Daily Point of Light." \n\n\n\nCost is $22 for Chamber and Lynchburg Road Runners Club members and $32 general admission.  Reservations are required by September 17.
