DESCRIPTION:Speaker:  Carrie Tollefson\n\nOlympian\, Sports Commentator and Host of C Tolle Run Weekly Web Show\nWe're once again partnering with the Virginia 10-Miler Committee to bring you the launch of 10 Miler festivities with this keynote. \n\n\n\nWith our annual theme of "STRONG"\, Carrie will share her story of what it means to be strong.  Don't miss this chance to be inspired and encouraged! \n\n \n\nAbout our Speaker: \n\nCarrie was born and raised in Dawson\, Minnesota. In high school\, Carrie won 13 state championships setting a national record of 5 consecutive individual cross country state championships plus 8 state track championships.\n\n\n\nWhile at Villanova University\, Carrie won 5 NCAA championships individually and was a member of the 1999 NCAA Cross Country Championships team.\n\nIn 1998\, Carrie was named NCAA Indoor track athlete of the year and was the first person in NCAA history to win both the 3k and 5k.\n\nNow an Olympian and 3 time national champion she lives and trains in her home state of Minnesota where she hopes to encourage and motivate the next generation.\n\n\n\nShe is also the host of C Tolle Run is a weekly show about running and fitness hosted by Olympian Carrie Tollefson. The show features training tips\, interviews with athletes & experts and highlights from races & events. Get a behind the scenes look into the life of an elite athlete!\n\n\n\nCost for the luncheon is $22 for Alliance members and $32 general admission.  Reservations are required by September 16 so RSVP today by calling (434) 845-5966\, emailing info@lynchburgregion.org or registering online above.  Please remember that Alliance policy requires that reservations be billed unless canceled 48 hours prior to the event.
