The Communication Academy, presented by Leadership Lynchburg, offers two, four-hour professional  sessions that are engaging, fun and enriching.

The Academy is happy to bring back one of the most sought after communications coaches in the world, Justin Patton. Justin is a coach to Fortune 500 companies. He managed the national sales training department for Anthem BlueCross BlueShield where he coached top sales performers on how to communicate with stronger impact. Additionally, Justin facilitated leadership and communication skills programs in Russia, Canada, and throughout the United States for Yum! University. After starting his own company, Justin was hired to teach the largest RGM leadership program in Taco Bell’s history and he is now a faculty member for the Institute of Organizational Management.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE PROGRAM

Self-awareness is a key ingredient to great leadership. YOUR EI IMPACT is a half-day program that takes you on an interactive journey to learn about yourself, how you build trusting relationships, and how you lead. You will explore five key composite areas of emotional intelligence: self-perception, self-expression, interpersonal relationships, decision making, and stress management. You’ll learn how each of these elements impacts your ability to create stronger influence in your organization, creates highly engaging teams, and ultimately drives stronger results. Additionally, you will complete the EQ-i 2.0 online assessment prior to attending the program and receive your results. You will leave the workshop with not only stronger self-awareness but actionable next steps on how you can show up better in both your personal and professional life.

The best leaders are the best communicators. Their presence and words break through all the noise so they can meet people where they are and challenge them to think differently. Your success, in any difficult conversation or coaching conversation, lies in your ability to connect. During this workshop, you will explore the science behind connecting, communicating without judgment, and asking questions that drive insight.
