Director of Events
The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance is pleased to announce a director level position now available. If you love events, consider applying for our Director of Events position which is responsible for directing the daily operations of meetings/events and manages our internal Events Team process. The ideal candidate will oversee the strategy, planning and execution of meetings and special events for the Alliance. As they create and steer the vision for events, the Director is responsible for coordinating all amenities and accommodations for the event. This also includes creating, monitoring, and controlling event budgets and negotiating all necessary contracts. The ideal candidate has valuable strategic insight to create, coordinate and plan programs in the annual program of work and will define goals, messaging and set metrics for events. Candidates with the ability to enhance operations processes and with strong administrative skills will thrive in this role. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field is preferred.
