We are a central Virginia brewery producing around 2,000 bbl annually to three taprooms with draft and can distribution. We are searching for someone hard-working and dedicated looking to get into the industry. This would be a part-time position to start with 25-30 hours per week – with the likelihood of expanding into a full-time position. This would be a detail-oriented position with prospects of handling many duties in the cellar on the production side of the brewery.
 
Responsibilities would include:

• Cleaning kegs 
• Filling kegs
• Operating a canning line
• Palettizing and transporting packaged beer
•  Filling orders for tap rooms and distribution
•  Operating a forklift
•  Recording weekly inventories
• General cleaning and maintenance 
• Diligent record keeping and attention to detail

• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Constant diligence in safety procedures and precautions
• Flexibility and ability to commute
• Experience on a forklift 
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues on the spot
• Ability to maintain an organized and clean brewery
• Ability to stay calm and calculated in emergencies or unforeseen events
• The desire to learn and expand into a larger role in a growing brewery
• A passion for craft beer and brewing
