WSET ABC 13 in beautiful Lynchburg, Virginia has an immediate opening for a talented and creative Content Producer! In this role, you will work closely with the Digital Content Manager and News Director on the day-to-day creation of content on all our digital platforms and social media.  You will also learn how to produce linear newscasts for television.  If you are a news junkie and thrive under the pressure of breaking news, you will love this job.  
The ideal candidate will have:

• Solid news judgment
• Be a compelling and accurate writer
• Be able to multitask and manage time effectively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• The ability to execute news strategies and goals on all digital platforms and linear newscasts
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must

• Previous content creation, newspaper, commercial social media, or newsroom experience is preferred.
• A journalism degree is preferred
• Mastery of AP Style and social media management
• The ability to work weekday nights and weekends.  You will have a set schedule.  But we sometimes need to move people around to cover other shifts.
