Alliance Recognized with Four Best of Business Awards

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Alliance Recognized with Four Best of Business Awards

The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance was recently recognized in the Lynchburg Business Magazine’s 2021 “Best of Business Awards. Two of the Alliance’s staff were recognized, and the organization overall received two additional “Best of Business” awards. These awards recognize the Alliance’s commitment to our mission and outstanding contribution to business and economic development within the Lynchburg region in the past year.

Receiving a Gold-level award for “Best Salesperson” is the Alliance’s Vice-President of Membership Development, Heath Barret. Also, the Alliance’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice-President, Christine Kennedy, won a Silver-level award for achieving the “Best Business and Mentor Coach” in the region.

I am truly humbled and honored to be recognized as the gold winner in the Best Salesperson category. There are many salespeople in the Lynchburg region that are also deserving of recognition for the hard work they put into their jobs. To each of you, congratulations on the work you do for your business and our business community,” shared the Alliance’s Heath Barret, who leads the Alliance’s outreach to current and potential Alliance business members.

“For me, it was an easy decision to be a part of the team at the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance because I align with the vision, mission, and core values of this five-star accredited organization. Our leadership at the Alliance is second-to-none and we work to make individuals and businesses as successful as they can be. I believe in the work we do and am thankful to be the Vice-President of Membership for the Alliance,” Heath continued.

“To those of you in Amherst County, Appomattox County, Bedford County, Campbell County, and the City of Lynchburg that felt I was deserving of this award, thank you. I accept this on behalf of my teammates,” Barrett said in closing.

Additionally, the Alliance’s COO and Executive Vice-President, Christine Kennedy, also shared gratitude upon receiving her recognition: “To be voted on by members of the business community whom I love is truly humbling. There are so many leaders in our region who have encouraged, inspired and coached me along the way. This recognition is only possible because of their investment in me. The greatest gift I can give back is to continue to serve our members and the business community with the same dedication, intentionality and service. With sincere gratitude to everyone who thought of me for this recognition,” Kennedy shared.

Additionally, the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance won a Silver-level award for being the “Best Place for Business Meetings and Conferences”. Lastly, the Alliance continued the success of its A.M. Alliance relationship-building event series with a Silver-level award for “Best Networking Event”.
