Renovations to Lynchburg Visitor Center bring upgrades and new programming

The first stop for new or returning visitors often is the local welcome center.

And though that always has been the goal of the Lynchburg Visitor Center on Church Street, recent renovations have made a way for visitors and residents alike to use the space in a new way.

“This is a place where we can engage the community so they can have more pride in the city,” Anna Bentson, assistant director of economic development and tourism, said. “It’s still a place to go and get that traveler connoisseur service, but it’s more than that.”
