LYNCHBURG, Va. - Central Virginia Fashion Week, in its third year, comes to Lynchburg on Saturday, October 26 from 6 – 10 p.m. at the Academy Center of the Arts presented by Let's Talk Fashion Virginia, Badcock Home Furniture &more, & Extra Solution Staffing.
A gateway to a high fashion runway experience, this year’s fashion week experience provides a platform for our region’s top creatives from clothing designers, hair stylists make-up artists, dance performers, and more.
“Our hope is that Central Virginia Fashion Week will bridge the gap between the arts and their impact on the culture in our community,” said Victoria Watts, creator of Central Virginia Fashion Week. “We have many talented people in our community and Central Virginia Fashion Week is all about celebrating our local artists, designers, models, and the overall community.”
Experienced and primed designers, as well as top talent models,  will display their craft for local art and fashion event-goers. The audience can expect a fully cultivated experience, from start to finish, by one of the city's best event designers encompassed by live music from local artists, delicacies from some of the region’s best caterers, and an atmosphere specifically curated for a high fashion occasion.
“The mission of Central Virginia Fashion Week is to provide a series of experiences that create opportunities for emerging creatives in the greater Central Virginia region,” said Watts, “all while strengthening the bond between arts and culture through a production reflecting the diversity of the arts.”
