Central Virginia Loss Prevention Group Meeting

The Central Virginia Loss Prevention group is a network of Law Enforcement agencies from the City of Lynchburg, Campbell County, Amherst County, and Bedford County plus Asset Protection professionals and retail store managers.  We meet monthly to discuss current crime trends, “hot” items being targeted by shoplifters or Organized Retail Crime groups. We also help identify suspects for prosecution, and address loitering and disruptive behaviors in parking lots, etc.  The goal is to reduce criminal opportunity in the retail stores, make customers feel safe, and help prosecute offenders.
 
Any store manager or owner, or Asset Protection professional from retail stores are welcome to attend our next CVLP group meeting on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Lynchburg Police Department. The meeting begins at 11:00 AM in the LPD Community Room at 3405 Odd Fellows Road.
