Do you enjoy fine foods and an evening of avant-garde adventure? Something out of the ordinary?
Then I would like to personally invite you to our Salvador Dali Dinner Experience Experience on April 27th, a culinary and visual delight.
The Main Gallery at Riverviews will be converted into a platter heaping with visual and culinary experiences and frivolity. Food as art, and art as food. We will re-create the opulent culinary, visual and interactive experience of the legendary Salvador Dali & Gala extravagant dinner parties. In other words: Expect one of the most unusual dinners you’ll attend this year — or ever.
While mainly a fundraiser to support the contemporary exhibits at Riverviews, this is also a very personal event to me. It is inspired by a cookbook, published by Salvador Dali in 1973, of which he gave a copy to my Uncle, whom he was friends with. Lucky me, I inherited it – and the surrealist cuisine served will be a faithful interpretation of some of Dalí’s recipes from the original cookbook, created by no other than chef Jason Arbusto.
Jason brings years of classical and modern global culinary experience from the 5-star 5-diamond Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Italy. He worked under master chefs Alain Ducasse (3 Michelin Stars, 2nd best restaurant in world 2002), Jean-Francois Piege (2 Michelin Stars), Les Freres Porcel (2 Michelin Stars) amongst others. Jason was the executive chef in Las Vegas at Restaurant Mix (largest 1 Michelin Star in World ) and in the San Francisco Bay area including Phil Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads (Grateful Dead), The Battery Social Club. Jason is the culinary chef for Waterstone Pizza and Shoemakers American Grill restaurants and owns Daughter and Sons Pizza.
So please accept my personal invitation and join me on April 27th to experience a culinary and visual experience benefitting the Arts. The aim is to surprise and delight guests in equal measure. We will tantalize and surprise you with never-seen-before parlor games, dishes and a general attitude that annihilates all former rules of how to behave at dinner - Inspired by Dalí and with Dali and his wife Gala as masters of ceremony.
