Gleaning hosts American Red Cross Blood Drive

Gleaning For The World will be hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on Thursday, August 5, from 2pm to 6pm.
 
With the current blood supply shortage, the American Red Cross is seeking new and returning donors to participate in upcoming drives.
 
Redcrossblood.org explains that “every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.”
 
Registering for your appointment time is easy at redcrossblood.org. Simply search Gleaning’s zip code, which is 24538, and you’ll find the upcoming blood drive. Choose your appointment time, and fill out the short form. Then, you’re all set!
