Oil Painting Workshop -
Learn how to paint in the style of Bob Ross on Tuesday Nov. 18, at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center located at 1267 4-H Camp Rd. Appomattox, VA 24522. Judy Moore-Gist,Alexander Certified Instructor and Certified Ross Instructor, strives to give people of all ages the opportunity to experience both the "Magic" and Joy" Of Painting". Both, William (Bill) Alexander and Bob Ross, PBS TV hosts, have inspired thousands of first time painters. Demonstrating the "wet-on-wet" technique motivated people of all ages to pick up a brush and put their dreams on canvas. Judy will do the same, come take a class and see for yourself. At the end of just one session you will be amazed at the beautiful painting that you created in just a few hours. You will become more aware of beautiful cloud shapes and colors you took for granted before. There is nothing more inspiring than seeing a beautiful landscape that you painted and others will treasure forever.

Rush Hwy/VA 24, drive 10 miles, turn left onto Holiday Lake Rd./ VA 626, drive 5 miles to 4-H Camp Rd/VA 723. The Center is at the end of 4-H Camp Rd/VA 723. From Charlottesville: take S. Constitution Rte/VA 20 S turn right onto N. James Madison Hwy/US 15 S, drive 1 mile, turn right onto W. James Anderson Hwy/US-60 W past Buckingham Courthouse, turn left onto Mt. Rush Hwy/VA 24, drive 10 miles, turn left onto Holiday Lake Rd/VA 626, drive 5 miles to 4-H Camp Rd/VA 723. The Center is at the end of 4-H Camp Rd/VA 723. From Farmville: take Richmond Hwy/US- 460 W to Prospect, turn right onto Peaks Rd/VA 626, drive 10 miles, turning left after 3 miles onto Holiday Lake Rd/VA 626, turn right onto 4-H Camp Rd/VA 723. The Center is at the end of 4-H Camp Rd/VA 723.
