"Do Come In" by local author Gracie Richardson Lewis. This book was encouraged by her children because her love of hosting and spending time with family and friends.
About the Author
As a bank officer, Gracie managed the branch at Bon Air in Richmond, Virginia, owned a decorating shop called Winterberry’s in Irvington Virginia and later became visit coordinator at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, which is now Randolph College,
retiring in 2007.
She still lives in Lynchburg, Virginia, with her husband John. She has two grown children and three grown stepchildren. With sixteen grandchildren and the eighth great-grand-child expected soon, she has many opportunities to encourage hospitality!
Gracie enjoys the planning for guests but most of all she delights in spending time with people around her table. One of God's commandments is to love one another, and she maintains that living that out can be done well in the home with people from many areas of our lives. Hospitality in the home brings her satisfaction, and she ponders, for this book, the times people have seemed happy to pull up a chair and have meaningful conversations in her home. Learn from this book a practice she uses that helps to make this easy!
Gracie's book is available for purchase.
