About Us

Located in the town suffering the highest per capita D-Day losses in the nation, the National D-Day Memorial honors the Allied forces that participated in the invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. The Memorial's English garden, haunting invasion plaza, and striking Victory Arch and Memorial wall (the only wall in the world to list American and Allied D-Day fatalities) is a powerful permanent tribute to the valor, fidelity, and sacrifice of D-Day participants. The Memorial and gift shop are open daily from 10 AM - 5 PM. (Closed on Mondays in December, January, and February. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day) Admission fees apply. Mobility assistance, guided tours, and school programs available. Winter closings possible. Please call ahead.
