What: Nearly 1,000 wreaths will arrive in Lynchburg as part of the national Wreaths Across America convoy. A tractor trailer will deliver the wreaths to the Vector Space 2004 Memorial AVe where volunteers will offload wreaths and transfer to historic grounds of the Old City Cemetery where the wreaths will be unboxed, and prepard them for the ceremony Saturday.
When:
- Arrival of Wreaths: Wednesday, December 10, 2025
- Wreath arrival: Vector Space, 5th Street, Lynchburg 8am
- Ceremony: Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 12:00 noon
- Lynchburg Historic Old City Cemetery & Arboretum
Details:
This marks the 18th annual Wreaths Across America ceremony at Old City Cemetery Museum and Arboretum, joining more than 5,600 locations nationwide participating in ceremonies this year. The event will feature patriotic music, a motorcycle procession, color guard, bagpipes, comments from local officials, and having the community lay wreaths on veterans’ graves. The cemetery is the resting place of veterans from every campaign, from the Revolutionary War to current conflicts.Community Invitation:
