REMINDER - Community Info Meeting Scheduled Re: Breezewood Drive Improvement Project (July 17)

REMINDER - On Thursday, July 17, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the City of Lynchburg will host a Community Information Meeting  for citizens to learn about the upcoming Breezewood Drive Improvement Project. The meeting will take place at Heritage Baptist Church, 219 Breezewood Drive.

The project aims to increase usability and improve safety for vehicle and pedestrian traffic on and along a 3,000-foot section of Breezewood Drive, located off of US 221 near the western limits of the city. Improvements will include widening the existing roadway to 11-foot lanes, adding curbs and gutters, constructing a 6-foot-wide sidewalk and a 5-foot grass buffer along the west side of the roadway, in addition to developing a closed drainage system along the roadway.

Residents can drop in anytime between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to learn more about the project and view project materials and preliminary engineering designs. Representatives from the City of Lynchburg and the consultant project team will be on hand to answer questions and receive feedback.

Comment forms will be available at the meeting for attendees to provide additional feedback. Following the July 17 meeting, comment forms will be available on the project webpage and will be accepted through Sunday, July 27, 2025.
