'Second to none:' JD's Cafe celebrates opening in Boonsboro

View story at ABC13 WSET...There was a celebration in Boonsboro Friday for the opening of JD's Cafe. The restaurant, which has a new location in the Boonsboro Shopping Center, held its ribbon cutting with the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance.

The restaurant serves southern comfort food, all made to order; from barbeque, to po-boys, to meatloaf. There are options for just about everyone.

Everything I make myself homemade," Owner Julian Davis said. "We do macaroni and cheese, salmon cakes. We do baby back ribs, and pulled pork, and pulled chicken barbeque, so we have a barbeque theme as well that's second to none.

Owner Julian Davis said he's excited to have a permanent location after working out of food trucks for the last several years.

"I had a couple of food trucks, which was good for me, and it all led to this. I hope this is my last stop, Boonsboro Shopping Center, JD's Cafe. It seems like this is where my journey should've took me to. I wouldn't change anything because I ended up here," Davis said.

Davis said he's thankful for the community's support along the way.

I'm able to put my love and passion into my food and spread it around to different people, so I think, I couldn't be more grateful and blessed to be here," Davis said.

He said he also wants to thank the Business Alliance.

"I would like to personally thank the LRBA for all of their support in this ribbon cutting. It's an honor and privilege to be a part of this wonderful group," he said.

JD's is open Mondays through Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
