About Us

Interfaith Outreach Association is a Lynchburg non-profit that strives to relieve distress and improve the quality of life for our neighbors in need by providing programs that offer education, guidance, and support. IOA serves the population of Central Virginia-Lynchburg and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell. Our Emergency Assistance program offers individuals with low incomes financial assistance with eviction notices, utility terminations, as well as furniture and furnishings. Our Interfaith Rebuilds program offers simple home repairs for pelderly and disabled homeowners with low incomes. IOA's Progressive Release program offers life skills classes in the Lynchburg and Amherst jails as well as the Lynchburg Juvenile Detention Center. It also provides job support and assistance. Our Vision program provides rides to medical appointments for poeple who are blind.
