About this opportunity:

Perform a wide variety of functions to ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of the shelter residents as well as the building.

Key responsibilities:

· Updates residents’ admittance tracking sheets.

· Inputs data as necessary into the computer system.

· Monitors client's day-to-day activities, including scheduling and inventorying, passes, taking of prescribed medication, and resident's general whereabouts.

· Maintains shelter logbook through documentation, as directed by the Assistant Housing Manager.

· Collects male and female urinalysis. Documents urinalysis and Breathalyzers test results.

· Mediates conflicts between residents.

· Performs a variety of housekeeping duties sweeping, moping, vacuuming, and cleaning of bathrooms on a daily basis.


What we are looking for in you:

· High school diploma or G.E.D.

· One year experience performing security and/or social service work preferred.

· Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge and skills and abilities.
 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to lift and carry objects less than 24 pounds and occasional lifting object 25 to 50 pounds may be necessary.

 

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a lodge/shelter facility where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
