The YMCA on Old Forest Rd and Bedrock Church are delighted to invite families and individuals for an exciting and fun-filled community block party on July 29th, to celebrate their successful business partnership resulting in updated facilities and expanded programs for both organizations. 
 
The inaugural event, FitFest 2023, aims to foster a sense of togetherness and strengthen community bonds while showcasing each organization's mission and offerings in their newly renovated facilities at 3408 Old Forest Rd. 
 
Members and guests can anticipate activities for the whole family:

Fun-filled Games and Activities: Participate in various games and activities suitable for all age groups. The Y on Wheels Bus will be on site with an obstacle course and physical education games, face painting provided by local artist Christina Davis, and a gaga pit courtesy of Bedrock Church are just a few of the activities in store. 

Local Emcee: Be entertained by talented emcee Andre Vial, the voice of the Hillcats. Performances and fitness demonstrations will keep the atmosphere lively and energetic throughout the event.
Food and Refreshments: Snow cones and popcorn will be available at no charge, with local food trucks on-site offering many menu items from which to purchase.

Community Engagement: Connect with various community organizations and learn about their initiatives, services, and how you can get involved. Register for upcoming programs and events, such as Before and After school care with the Y.

Raffles and Prizes: Take part in an exciting raffle draw to win fantastic prizes generously donated by local businesses and sponsors.

"This event provides an opportunity for community members to learn more about what we do and why we do it. As always, everything we do is part of our strategic plan to create a stronger and healthier community, as evidenced by our programs, initiatives, and facilities."

Families and individuals are encouraged to attend the event to explore structural renovations, program enhancements, and equipment upgrades that enhance the member experience. The facility is impressive, from a new child watch center and updated state-of-the-art wellness equipment to the addition of a new auditorium. It allows for even more inclusive community betterment programs that build spirit, mind, and body.  
 
The event runs from 10 am - 2 pm; however, demonstrations and tours will occur throughout the day. Admission to FitFest 2023 is free and open to all.
