Holiday Lake 4-H Summer Camp At Home
Since 1941, for 79 years, Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center has held Summer 4-H Youth Camp. Over 2,000 young campers from Central Virginia (17 counties and 2 cities) camp at the 4-H Center each year. Due to COVID – 19 the State 4-H Office has cancelled 4-H Summer Camp this year. This is the first time in 79 years that Summer Camp has been cancelled. The Center’s mission is to “improve the quality of life through educating youth and adults in a natural setting.” Our staff is dedicated to educating youth, and even with the closure we are still committed to educate youth at home during these challenging times.
This Summer, Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center will offer, at no cost, the following 10 weeks of virtual 4-H Camp at Home. Each week has a theme, and a variety of activities and resources will be available. Activities will be led by former and current summer staff, extension agents, and our many 4-H friends and volunteers. We are very excited to offer the following 10 weeks of 4-H Camp at Home:
