Would you like to experience Independence Day on the same ground as America's first patriot? Come spend this Fourth of July at the garden spot of Virginia, Patrick Henry's Red Hill! Events begin at 3:00PM with fireworks at dusk and the gate closing at 9:00PM. Events include historical Interpretations of the buildings and demonstrations, Virginia is for Lovers LOVE artwork (photos encouraged /photo-op with Patrick Henry), Arts & Craft Vendors, Paul Younger of Gladys demonstrates basket weaving (from tree to basket), Live Band to start at 5:00pm Tara Mills featuring Yankee Dixie, Patrick Henry will be here to deliver his ''Give me Liberty, or Give me Death'' speech at 7:00pm, Face Painting and Kids' Games available for all ages, Food by Charlotte County Lions Club, Sno-Cones by Charlotte County Dixie Softball, Kettle Corn and Cotton Candy by the Clark Boys, PHBGH Short-cut High Bus, and a Fireworks Show starting at dusk The fireworks are being brought to you by Wells Fargo and the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation. Admission for the 2013 Independence Day Celebration is $10 per car - up to 5 passengers; $2 for each additional passenger. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to comfortably watch Patrick Henry give his speech at 7:00 and to watch the fantastic fireworks display at 9:15. You might also want to bring a flashlight to aide you after dark. Please do NOT bring any alcohol, personal fireworks (including sparklers), grills, or pets; for safety reasons, all these are prohibited. There will be no re-entry after 5:00PM!
