As Cherry Bekaert’s National Leader of State and Local Tax (SALT) Services, and a Tax Partner based in the Firm’s Northern Virginia/Greater Washington practice, Cathie is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 25 years of experience. She is also a member of THInc, the Firm’s specialty practice focused on guiding growth through innovation. Clients in the Technology, Health & Life Sciences, and Industrial sectors depend on Cathie to help them maximize opportunities for innovation. Cathie serves as a trusted multistate advisor and has worked extensively with publicly traded corporations as well as privately owned companies.
Drew Arney, CPA | Manager, State & Local Tax | Cherry Bekaert LLP
Based in Cherry Bekaert’s Blue Ridge practice, Drew is a Tax Manager within the Firm’s State & Local Tax Group. He assists clients primarily in the industrial, technology, and real estate & construction industries with tax matters such as state and local tax, credits & incentives, and indirect taxes. His focus is on these SALT related issues around property tax, sales and use taxes and Virginia Enterprise Zone grants has saved clients hundreds of thousands of dollars on their tax liabilities.

With more than 20 years of public accounting and private industry experience, Leah primarily focuses on federal and multi-state taxation of domestic and foreign-owned middle market, closely-held and private equity/venture capital owned companies across a diverse range of industries. She is actively involved in Cherry Bekaert’s THInc specialty practice, serving clients in the Technology, Health & Life Sciences, and Industrial sectors in the Firm’s Blue Ridge practice.
