Ribbon Cutting: Park View Community Mission
With the our location, we are officially launching our sixth program, The Clothing Connection. Park View community's Mission's Food for Families program is Lynchburg's largest pantry. Our mission has always been to give our neighbors help meeting their basic needs, offering healing from the scars of poverty by teaching skills to get ahead, and provide hope for a better tomorrow for those who don't know where to turn. Clothing is one of those basic needs. Just over a year ago, we moved a few racks of clothing to a 1200 square-foot room at our Life Skills Institute and it immediately filled to capacity. This new space is over 5000 square feet. Operating hours coincide with the pantry hours, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 AM - 2 PM. It's another way we can connect with people and offer opportunities for them to move beyond their circumstances.
We hope you will join us.
