Campbell County Launches New Brand: Tradition Meets Tomorrow

Rustburg, VA - Campbell County is pleased to announce a fresh branding initiative, focused on the locality’s respect for tradition, strong ideals and vision for future success.  Beginning June 3, the County will launch its new “Tradition Meets Tomorrow” motto, paired with the County’s revised logo that features the iconic Campbell County Historic Courthouse cupola.

The branding initiative emerged from the 2025 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy planning sessions and related public surveys. One outcome was the development of a comprehensive theme and icon to unite residents, local government, businesses, and visitors through one branding narrative.

Through a competitive process, the county engaged branding consultants, Black Dog Designs, LLC to coordinate the brand development process. Internal departments worked collaboratively with marketing experts, local residents, business leaders, students, staff and stakeholders to identify key attributes of the Campbell County community - showcasing what makes Campbell County unique, connected, and innovative.

The new brand will be implemented across various Campbell County departmental communication materials, signage, and online platforms.  The County will also update Gateway signage along primary VDOT corridors through this initiative.

“The branding process has been a collaborative, team-focused effort between the County and the residents and businesses we serve.  We embrace the values and traditions our new brand reflects as well as the promising future it inspires. I commend all those who worked together to bring these concepts to life.” – Frank Rogers, Campbell County Administrator.

Residents are invited to celebrate the new brand launch at the Summer Reading Finale Street Fair on Saturday, July 25 in Rustburg. Families will have an opportunity to not only view the new brand but also participate in activities that promote the Tradition Meets Tomorrow theme.

Campbell County has steadfastly served residents since its inception in 1781. The locality continues to historically, yet innovatively, lead with excellence based on the lasting values of trustworthiness, openness, the highest ethics, efficient stewardship, knowledge, collaboration and people-centered service. This foundation supports an organization and community where residents, businesses, and families thrive in a solid yet growing environment where tradition meets tomorrow.
