Lynchburg, VA – CloudFit Software, a mission-driven tech company recognized nationally for its innovative work in defense and government cloud services, will hold a press conference on Thursday, May 22nd at 9:00 a.m. at its corporate headquarters in the historic Carter Glass Building at 863 Church Street to announce continued growth, workforce expansion, and investment in downtown Lynchburg.

Founded with the mission “to run every mission critical workload,” CloudFit has earned Microsoft’s Top Partner recognition for Government/Defense & Intelligence four of the past five years. But its impact goes beyond IT. Through its non-profit arms—KidFit and JobFit—the company is transforming lives by offering hope and opportunity to youth through sports and to adults through IT training and paid internships.

“CloudFit is more than a software company,” said Carroll Moon, CEO and Co-Founder of CloudFit. “We’re part of a movement to change lives, starting right here in Lynchburg. We’ve hired more than 90 new full-time team members in the last nine months, the majority of whom are based in this region. Our mission, our hiring priorities, and our investments are rooted in this community.”

With full-time employees (FTEs) in 32 states, Lynchburg remains the company’s home base and top priority for hiring. Every open position is considered for the Lynchburg region first, and the company is actively inviting local IT talent to apply at careers@cloudfitsoftware.com.

This summer, CloudFit’s JobFit program will host 31 paid interns selected from over 800 applicants—including high school students, college students, and career changers—further demonstrating its investment in developing local talent pipelines.

“CloudFit represents the kind of values-based innovation we are proud to support in Lynchburg,” said Marjette Upshur, Director of Economic Development & Tourism. “They are growing, hiring, giving back, and investing in the future of this city. Their success is our success.”

“From a regional standpoint, CloudFit is a cornerstone of our tech ecosystem,” said Megan Lucas, CEO of the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance. “Their growth sends a powerful message about the strength of our business climate and our workforce.”

As part of its long-term vision, CloudFit is already engaged in space planning for a future “CloudFit-only” facility—what leadership calls the next Carter Glass—underscoring its belief in Lynchburg as a center of innovation.
