Comcast Bolsters Investment in Campbell County, Virginia

and Completes Network Expansion to More Than 1,000 Additional Residents

Additional Residents in Altavista and Northern Campbell County Are Now Connected

ALTAVISTA, VA – MAY 6, 2026 – Comcast today announced it has expanded its network deeper into Campbell County, Virginia, and completed a project connecting more than 1,000 additional residents to reliable, high-speed Internet from Xfinity. The expansion included residents in Altavista as well as neighborhoods in northern Campbell County off Eastbrook Road and Old Rustburg Road.

This strengthens Comcast’s investment in Campbell County and comes on the heels of a major expansion completed in 2024 that connected 6,700 additional residents across the county to Xfinity and Comcast Business services.

This expansion is part of Comcast’s latest investment in Virginia, which also includes network expansion projects in:

• Buchanan – Construction is underway to connect more than 750 homes and businesses to the full suite of Xfinity and Comcast Business services – including Internet, mobile, entertainment, and smart home services. Hundreds of residents are already serviceable, and the project is expected to be completed this summer.
• Town of Bedford – Construction is underway to connect more than 4,500 homes and businesses, with Xfinity and Comcast Business services already available to some residents.
• Caroline County – Construction is underway to connect more than 1,800 additional homes and businesses across the county, including communities in Bowling Green and Ladysmith. The first residents will be available for Xfinity and Comcast Business services later this year.
• Radford – Construction is underway to connect nearly 10,000 homes and businesses, with Xfinity and Comcast Business services already available to hundreds of residents.
