WHAT:
Run for good before you gobble with the HumanKind Lynchburg Turkey Trot presented by Scott Insurance! Lace up for the largest 5K in the area – where every step is a part of something big! The Lynchburg Turkey Trot is a community fun run/walk with all proceeds of this fundraising race supporting the programs and services of HumanKind.
Everyone can join in, individually or with your favorite flock; in-person or virtually. You can run, walk, or TROT and make a difference in your community all year long.
WHO:
More than 4,000 people coming out to run, walk, wobble, and volunteer at the 38th Annual Lynchburg Turkey Trot 5K. Together sharing LOVE for Lynchburg – neighbors, families, and community as a whole.
WHEN + WHERE:
IN-PERSON RACE DAY – THANKSGIVING MORNING
• Thursday, November 26 – Thanksgiving Morning
• 8:00 AM Start
• Start/finish line is at E.C. Glass High School, 2111 Memorial Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24501
VIRTUAL EVENT
Run or walk from anywhere on a date of your choice Nov. 21-29.
Participants are encouraged to pick up their event packet prior to race day at one of the two packet pick-up dates below. Stay tuned for more details as event day approaches.
• Location: HumanKind Campus, 1903 HumanKind Way, Lynchburg, VA 24503. Entrance from VES Road ONLY, all other entrances are permanently closed.
• Friday November 20, 2026, 12:00 - 6:00 PM
• Wednesday November 25, 2026, 12:00 - 6:00 PM
You can also choose to have your packet mailed to you during registration for an additional fee.

• October 12th - November 8th: $45
• November 9th - November 25th: $55
Register with friends and family and save! Our optional Friends & Family Pack offers discounted registration rates for groups who register together in the same transaction:
• Groups of 4–5: Save $4 per registration
• Groups of 6–10: Save $6 per registration
Lynchburg Road Runners Club Members save $5 on their registration valid September 1st - October 11th. Membership must be current.
