Lynchburg's Grand Hotel Is Under New Ownership

LYNCHBURG’S GRAND HOTEL UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP
Located at 601 Main Street in Downtown Lynchburg (directly across the street from Lynchburg’s
Academy of Arts) the hotel will be undergoing a complete remodeling.

With 242 rooms, THE GRAND HOTEL is Lynchburg’s largest hotel and has the largest ballroom in
Central Virginia and is an excellent location for meetings, events and family gatherings. More
than 30 restaurants are located within walking distance.

The hotel is now locally owned and operated by Integrity Operations Management, also known as
the “Hospitality Dream Team” which operated 6 other hotel properties in the Lynchburg Region
in addition to properties in Blacksburg, Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Although the LYNCHBUURG GRAND is currently an independent hotel, they are looking at
several options. The company is licensed to operate Hilton, Marriott, Choice Hotels, and IHG
brands.

Many of the associates at THE GRAND HOTEL have been working there for 10, 20, 30 and even 40
years. Tony Camm, current General Manager, started as a dishwasher and worked his way all
the way up to General Manager. Tony is planning to retire the month to focus on his music and
entertainment career.

“Although we are the largest hotel operator in the Lynchburg Region, our goal is the be the best”
says Lisa McNeill, Regional Director of Operations for Integrity Operations Management.
Joining THE GRAND FAMILY will be Brian Knopp as Director of Sales. “Brian has been in the hotel
industry for 20 years and is well-known for his customer service” says McNeill. Brian comes with
40 years’ experience in sales and has been in the hospitality industry for 35 years. Formerly
Assistant Director of Tourism for the City of Savannah, his family moved to Lynchburg in 1999 to
become Vice President of the Lynchburg Area Chamber of Commerce in charge of tourism
development for the City of Lynchburg and the surrounding region.

“Tourism generated $400.8 million dollars in total visitor spending in 2023 to the City of
Lynchburg; and meetings, conferences and groups play a vital role in our overall success,” says
Andrew Marks, Sales Manager for the City of Lynchburg Office of Economic Development &
Tourism. “We are excited about the planned renovations and revitalization of the Lynchburg
Grand Hotel. This will allow our Tourism Sales team to target and bring larger conferences that
would not have previously considered Lynchburg as a destination for their event”. ‘
"We are thrilled to see the Lynchburg Grand enter a new chapter, bringing a fresh energy and
modern appeal to our thriving downtown. This investment not only revitalizes a cornerstone of
our community but also strengthens our ability to welcome visitors and support the Academy
Center of Arts. The newly modernized Lynchburg Grand will serve as a vital northwest anchor for
downtown, enhancing its vibrancy and solidifying the Lynchburg region’s reputation as a
destination of choice." Megan Lucas, CEO Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance.

More details about the renovation will be released as soon as the brand name is selected. For
