Downtown Lynchburg to Celebrate Dolly Day on September 25

LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Downtown Lynchburg Association is inviting the community to celebrate all things Dolly on September 25 — 9/25 — with Dolly Day downtown!

From morning through evening, participating downtown businesses will join together for a day inspired by the one and only Dolly Parton. The “9/25” date offers the perfect reason to celebrate Dolly downtown all day long, with local businesses putting their own creative spin on the festivities.

Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, shopping local, enjoying lunch or dinner, sipping a drink, or simply exploring downtown, there will be plenty of opportunities to show your Dolly spirit and enjoy the best of Downtown Lynchburg.

If you would like to participate in “Give Like Dolly”, please purchase a children’s book and donate to the downtown Lynchburg’s Public Library’s Book Drive.

Each participating location will bring its own Dolly-inspired offerings, activities, specials, or surprises to the celebration. 

“Dolly Day is a chance for our downtown businesses and community to come together for a little fun, a lot of Dolly, and plenty of local love,” said the Downtown Lynchburg Association. “September 25 is the perfect excuse to spend the day downtown and celebrate the joy, generosity, creativity, and unmistakable style that Dolly represents.”

The Downtown Lynchburg Association encourages residents and visitors to shop local, dine downtown, and make a day of it.
