Calling all musicians, aspiring artists, and vocalists - whether you’re a seasoned performer or just someone who loves to sing in the shower, this is your moment to step into the spotlight! Three Roads Brewing (Lynchburg & Farmville, VA) and Ballad Brewing (Danville, VA), in collaboration with Noteworthy Music Company (Bedford, VA) and Radio434 (Lynchburg, VA), proudly present the Noteworthy Music Challenge - a unique opportunity for local talent to showcase their skills, compete in front of a live audience and industry judges, and win a professional recording session along with airplay on Radio434 and The MIKE Show!

How It Works The competition kicks off with a series of Open Mic Qualifying Rounds at Three Roads and Ballad Brewing locations: Lynchburg, VA - Tuesday, March 4, 2025 (Three Roads Brewing) Danville, VA - Friday, March 21, 2025 (Ballad Brewing) Farmville, VA - Tuesday, March 25, 2025 (Three Roads Brewing)
Doors open at 6:00 PM for sign-ups, with performances starting shortly after. Contestants will take the stage in front of a live audience and a panel of esteemed judges, including Tony Camm, Melissa Roach-Stevens, and Van Holten among others. Three contestants from each location will advance to the Finale Round in April, where one Grand Prize Winner will receive: - Professional recording sessions at Noteworthy Music Studios in Bedford, VA - Airplay on Radio434 and The MIKE Show

What to Expect Acoustic & Lightly Electric Sets - PA system, mixer, microphones, and stands will be provided. Musicians must bring their own instruments and cables. (No drum kits; light percussion is allowed.) Solo Acts & Groups Welcome - Quick changeovers will keep the energy flowing, so be ready! Audience Voting - Bring your friends, family, and fans because the audience will have a say in scoring! However, the judges’ decisions are final.
