Renowned Rheumatologist Opens Independent Practice with Locations in Danville and Lynchburg


DANVILLE, VA – Board-certified rheumatologist Dr. Sharukh D. Shroff is proud to announce the opening of his new independent practice, Arthritis & Rheumatology Specialists, PC, with offices now open in both Danville and Lynchburg, Virginia. The practice, which officially launched in July 2025, provides expert, compassionate care for individuals experiencing arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and a wide range of rheumatologic and musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Shroff brings a distinguished level of expertise to the region with board certifications in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. Known for his patient-focused approach and commitment to clinical excellence, Dr. Shroff is passionate about delivering thoughtful, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

“I’m honored to open Arthritis & Rheumatology Specialists in two communities I care deeply about,” said Dr. Shroff. “Our mission is to bring specialized care closer to home for patients suffering from chronic and often debilitating conditions. We are committed to combining advanced medical expertise with genuine compassion.”


Dr. Shroff completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in India before earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Haven and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and fellowships in Rheumatology at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.

Dr. Shroff has also served the Danville area for over a decade through his volunteer work at the Free Clinic of Danville, reinforcing his deep commitment to community health. In a personal highlight of his humanitarian service, he received a handwritten letter of blessings from Mother Teresa.

At Arthritis & Rheumatology Specialists, PC, patients can receive care for a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Osteoarthritis, Gout, Fibromyalgia, Osteoporosis, Vasculitis, Raynaud’s, and other autoimmune or musculoskeletal disorders.
