(Lynchburg, VA – December 19, 2025) - The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation (“GLCF” or “Foundation”) announced today the recipients of its Fall 2025 competitive grants.The GLCF Distribution Committee carefully reviewed each application received, resulting in $610,157 awarded in competitive grants, plus $284,542 in recommendations from our donor advised funds.Competitive grants ranged from $1,000 to $25,000. Media Advisory Wreaths Across America – Friends of the Old City Cemetery What: Nearly 1,000 wreaths will arrive in Lynchburg as part of the national Wreaths Across America convoy. A tractor trailer will deliver the wreaths to the Vector Space 2004 Memorial AVe where volunteers will offload wreaths and transfer to historic grounds of the Old City Cemetery where the wreaths will be unboxed, and prepard them for the ceremony Saturday.
