Lynchburg’s Resident Dance Company debuts Act II of Swan Lake, arguably the most famous scene in the classical ballet canon. Under the glow of a moonlit lake, Prince Siegfried falls for Odette, the enchanting swan queen trapped by the sinister sorcerer Von Rothbart’s spell. Tchaikovsky’s exquisite score is sublimely fused with high drama, iconic dances, and majestic swans that make this work a ballet masterpiece.

After intermission, another famous bird takes flight in The Firebird, set to the polychromatic score by Stravinsky. This vibrant folktale follows a dashing prince, a beautiful princess, and the magical bird who saves them all.
