About the New Partners
Emily Signorelli, CPA, CFE
Emily joins the partnership from the firm's Charleston, West Virginia office, where she specializes in working with not-for-profit organizations, higher education institutions, and employee benefit plans. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), holding degrees from West Virginia Wesleyan College and West Virginia University. Emily is active in the WVSCPA, where she will take over as board president later this month, and has been honored with numerous awards, including the WVSCPA Kathy Eddy West Virginia Young CPA of the Year award, Beta Alpha Psi Business Information Professional of the Year, and recognition in the WV State Journal's 40 Under 40.
David Sheaffer, CPA, CCIFP
David joins the partnership from the firm's Lynchburg, Virginia office, bringing extensive experience in assurance and consulting services with a focus on the construction and higher education industries. He holds a B.A. and MBA from the University of Lynchburg and is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Construction Industry Finance Professional (CCIFP). David is actively involved in the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), the Associated General Contractors of Virginia (AGCVA), as well as several other professional organizations, and was recognized as a CFMA Rising Star in 2022.
Patrick Pittman, CPA
Patrick joins the partnership as a tax specialist with more than 25 years of professional experience. His expertise includes tax compliance for individuals, businesses, and exempt organizations. He serves clients across financial institutions, healthcare, not-for-profit, manufacturing, and telecommunications sectors, with a focus on ASC 740 compliance, Form 990 and unrelated business income tax, business and individual tax preparation, and consolidated tax groups. Patrick holds a B.S. from Virginia Tech and an M.S. in Accounting from James Madison University and is a member of both the AICPA and VSCPA.
