YWCA Central Virginia Welcomes New Interim Executive Director
YWCA Central Virginia is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Nancy Hubbard, DPhil, FRSA, as the organization’s new Interim Executive Director. Dr. Hubbard brings a blend of expertise, leadership, and passion to her role, positioning YWCA Central Virginia for an exciting new chapter of growth and impact.
Dr. Hubbard is a former CEO, a best-selling business author, and has over 15 years of consulting experience in strategy development across 26 countries. Her work has focused on areas like team building, culture change, and business growth. She also served as Dean of the College of Business at the University of Lynchburg.
Dr. Hubbard appears regularly on ABC, NBC, and FOX affiliate stations throughout Virginia and has been featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and the Financial Times. She plans to use her platform to share the important work of YWCA Central Virginia and bring more attention to its programs and mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
She holds undergraduate business degrees from Georgetown University and graduate degrees from the University of Oxford, including a Master’s in Human Resource Management and a Doctorate in Management with a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Dr. Hubbard has also served as a Professor at IAE University of Marseilles and the SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management, as well as a Lecturer and Associate Fellow of Green Templeton College, University of Oxford.
Dr. Hubbard’s leadership and dedication to helping women and families will strengthen the work of YWCA Central Virginia as it continues to support those in need.
