Through the power of story, you’ll walk away with thought provoking and tangible actions you can take to be an ally and advocate for those who may be marginalized or unseen in your spheres of influence. And, if you’re needing an ally, you’ll hear what to look for and how to ensure your behavior and work practices align with those who may be in a position to advocate for you.
1:30 PM Session: Dissing Ability
Tory Lucas, Professor of Law, Liberty University
12:30 AM People with disabilities have historically endured the horrors of exclusion and elimination because America has incessantly fixated on disability without seeing ability. To correct a disabling view of people with disabilities, Professor Tory L. Lucas will prescribe a paradigm shift that permanently redirects the focus from disability to ability. If America achieves this hopeful vision to no longer diss—or disrespect—ability, then people with disabilities will enjoy equal access to equal opportunity.
2:30 PM Session: Inclusion: A Journey, Not A Destination
Princess Ousley, President & CEO, Elite Business Strategies
Matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion have existed for a long time. The more
recent emphasis has made us realize that we can all benefit from greater

practices, community partnerships, and everyday relationships.
